man that is making me hungry. i tend to prefer the the flat version, not the griddle. you  get more sear.... more crisp....

Yummy! The Ooni in combination with a good seasoned cast iron pan is simply amazing.

Agreed. Best steak I've ever eaten was cooked in Pro at 500˚C (932˚F if you think that way!)

Could anyone tell me if it's worth buying this? I just don't understand it, you can also throw your meat on a barbeque...

Heat up the sizzler, drop the meat and what is it? Or you throw in back to the oven?

My preferred method is to heat the Grizzler in Ooni for 10 minutes.
Throw the steak on the Grizzler.
Put it in the oven for about a minute
    Turn the steak over
Put it back in for another minute.
    Remove
    Rock Salt,
    Dab of mustard.
    Serve.

How long you leave it in the oven depends on how well you done you like your steak. I'm a rare-medium rare kinda guy.

The great thing about cooking steak on an Ooni is that you can get a great sear on the meat that you generall can't get on a barbecue grill. I have a Primo ceramic grill that I've had up to about 750 F and I can sear a steak incredibly well. The issue for me is taking all of the time it takes to get it up to temperature. It's much quicker--and much easier--with the Ooni and I think you get a much better sear on the steak.

Agreed, steaks cooked at 900+ is the way to go. And for thicker cuts like this tomahawk you can also sous vide first to get and even cook and then get a nice crisp on the outside!
